Certification
The Registrar's Office provides students with certifications of academic record information such as enrollment status, degrees awarded, GPA, transient permission, etc. Students may request their own letters of certification through OASIS. Certification requests may also be submitted by mail and in person at the Registrar's Office. Requests via e-mail cannot be accepted at this time. For information about what constitutes full- and half-time enrollment, see Enrollment Status in the FAQs. For further information about certifications, contact the Registrar's Office, 102 Holmes/Hunter Academic Building, (706) 542-4040.
Dean's Certification
Some law schools and study abroad programs require applicants to submit a Dean's Certification form that provides information on academic and disciplinary issues students may have encountered as undergraduates. If a school requires a Dean's Certification, please take or mail your form to Office of Judicial Programs in 130 Memorial Hall Athens, GA 30602. Once the form has been completed by the Office of Judicial Programs and the Vice President for Instruction, it will be sent to the Office of the Registrar for final processing and mailing. The entire process usually takes between five to seven working days.
